MAD

You’re feeling:       Angry?

                                     Frustrated?

                                     Annoyed?

                                     Irritated?

Because something’s not going the way you want it to:

You didn’t behave in a way you wanted to?

Someone else didn’t behave in a way you wanted them to?

A situation didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to?

 Yes       No

MANAGING MAD:

THE DESIRE FOR CHANGE

The feeling of anger (mad) results from an expectation not being met. You expect something, and it is not happening. Paired up with anger, you will find a desired change - a wanted outcome.

In other words, you become angry when things don’t go your way. As a result, with anger, you want change – you want the expectation to be fulfilled. If you take that a step further, there is most likely a way that you would like things to go. That way is the change, or the outcome that you want.

Anger can be experienced as a build-up of unmet expectation over a course of time, as a surprise situation that catches us off guard, or anything in-between. Moreover, anger can be experienced on any level of awareness. Regardless of the duration, intensity, or level of awareness, it originates from unmet expectation.

CHOICE

Your NO response to the Cognitive Challenge means a choice is needed to move forward.  Choose either...

1) Go to Internal Resolutions – Here you learn to change how you think and possibly make belief system changes.

– OR –

2) Go back to the Cognitive Challenge questions and revise what you want so that you get a YES answer.
